关于我们
The Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys (MBWA) is a professional bar association committed to the advancement of justice and equality for all people, with a particular emphasis on people of color. The MBWA seeks to eradicate sexism and racism in the legal profession, advance equal employment opportunities and actively support the career development of our membership. Through meetings and events, the organization links black women attorneys in the Commonwealth by providing a network for them to build and develop their careers. We offer black women attorneys the opportunity to share their knowledge and experience and focus on issues of importance to women of color. We also promote pro bono activities, community activism and the successful balance of family and career obligations.

We had a full house tonight at the historical Sanctuary in the African Meeting House, to include lawyers, former judges, educators, students, a state senator and various public servants. Thank you to Professor Margaret Burnham and retired Justice Geraldine Hines for your candid and invaluable perspective. Everyone in attendance left inspired to roll up their sleeves for the work ahead.
