关于我们
Who we are: The Massachusetts Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (MADRC) is a P30 research center funded by the National Institute on Aging. Our center has been at the forefront of dementia research, treatment and care since 1984. What we do: Our expert staff from both Mass General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital work closely together under the MADRC umbrella to lead cutting-edge research as well as to provide both professional and community resources and education. Our goal is to find effective treatments and eventually a cure for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. How we Work: The MADRC research?team is leading the fight against Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias by advancing research on several fronts. Our goal is to better understand how to identify, target, prevent, and fight these devastating brain diseases and someday find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. We collectively offer numerous clinical trials and observational studies. Our teams conduct research from bench to bedside and run several cutting-edge investigator-initiated studies, as well as industry sponsored trials. Our studies are both federally and privately funded.

Today, as part of #BrainAwarenessWeek we are explaining neuroplasticity. To learn more about brain health and MADRC research, visit:?madrc.org What is neuroplasticity? Neuroplasticity refers to the brain's ability to adapt and change over time by forming new connections between neurons. This flexibility allows the brain to reorganize itself in response to learning, experiences, injury, or environmental changes, helping with recovery and improving cognitive functions. #WeAreMADRC #Brainweek
