Although February has come to a close, we're thrilled to once again shine a spotlight on the amazing program at the City of Boston | Mayor's Office for Immigrant Advancement (MOIA)! Before we introduce our March spotlight organization next week, let's revisit the incredible pro bono opportunities at MOIA! ?? MOIA strives to strengthen the ability of immigrants to fully and equitably participate in the economic, civic, social, and cultural life in Boston. MOIA also promotes the recognition and public understanding of the contributions of immigrants to the City. MOIA offers free 15-20 minute consultations by phone with volunteer immigration lawyers to provide advice and information. Volunteers must be members of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and must practice immigration law in the state of Massachusetts. There is a disproportionate need for volunteer attorneys that practice removal defense, but all are welcome. In addition, on April 12, 2025, in partnership with Project Citizenship, MOIA will host their 11th annual Citizenship Day.?MOIA is seeking volunteer attorneys to help review citizenship applications. Attorneys do not need to have experience with immigration law, however there are additional roles for immigration attorneys. Please contact MOIA at [email protected] with any questions. ?? https://lnkd.in/eH-Fu3d #ProBono #ImmigrationLaw
