October is National Crime Prevention Month, and the Office of Grants and Research is proud to fund prevention and intervention programs across Massachusetts. OGR Executive Director Kevin Stanton and members of our Justice and Prevention Division last month joined Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, grant recipient UTEC and other partners at the New England Streetworker Conference to share strategies and successes in violence prevention.

They provide critical services to domestic violence survivors who have limited English proficiency, removing a major barrier for those seeking help. #grantsinaction #DVAM

Municipal police departments: Apply for the Law Enforcement Body-Worn Camera Program by Oct. 7!

Domestic violence victims are often at greatest risk as they leave their abuser. The Office of Grants and Research supports abuse survivors by offering funds to service providers like HarborCOV, which received funds through the Massachusetts Nonprofit Security Grant Program to enhance security for survivors and staff. We also manage the Violence Against Women Act (#VAWA) grant program in Massachusetts providing funds to organizations working to prevent DV, support survivors and hold offenders accountable.
