It's been an incredibly full but satisfying week of engaging with House and Senate legislative champions and being in community with others to strengthen the ecosystem of supports for young people and Professionals of Color in Massachusetts. We all are connected by the desire for positive relationships. The number of times I've heard people say the word "mentor" or "mentoring" when discussing their personal stories, professional trajectories, business strategies or advice to others has been astounding. I've heard it in and out of the context of my workplace and it is telling. No one does anything on their own, and together we go further when we invest in ourselves, in eachother, and in building systems of support. I'm grateful. ?? #TDG Congratulations and thank you to Paul Francisco (He, Him, His) Emerson Foster Betty Francisco Constanza Cabello, Ed.D. and all the organizers of The Dinner Group conference and mixer for filling the room with dope POC. Shout out to April English Pamela Aimee Leins, MSL Hector Pi?a Quincy Miller for being recognized with the well deserved Trailblazer Award! ?? Thank you Yves Salomon-Fernández, Ph.D. for inviting Dr. Noemi Custodia-Lora and me as your guests for the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce discussion on Latina leaders at PwC. ?? Congratulations to Alana Hill Jermaine Myrie and the team at MENTOR and thank you for inviting Mass Mentoring Partnership to collaborate on an engaging fireside chat focused on relationship centered workforce development and policy change with attendees from private, philanthropy, and nonprofit sectors. Shout out to Amanda Doyle-Bouvier for her work on this event on behalf of MMP and to Representative Chynah Tyler for a compelling message on the importance of creating mentoring opportunities for youth along the continuum.
