The Thanksgiving season is a time for gratitude! For the month of November, Masonic Village at Lafayette Hill installed a “Gratitude Tree" in the West Community Room, where residents could express their appreciation for a staff member by writing a heartfelt note on a paper leaf and attaching it to the tree. We were able to celebrate the amazing contributions of our team and create a beautiful display of thanks to shine through the holiday. Happy Thanksgiving!

Even though it has been a mild fall, winter is coming, and Masonic Village at Lafayette Hill helped prepare employees by offering them free, gently used coats and hoodies last week. In addition, there were hats, scarves, gloves – even shoes up for grabs! Our employees enjoyed sifting through all the items and choosing their favorites!?

When you care for others, you should always remember to care for yourself! Masonic Village at Lafayette Hill team members were pampered this week as a way to say thank you for the services and care they provide residents. The personal wellness event included a blessing of the hands from Pastor Deborah, as well as various resources and care station activities, from sand art memorials to hand massage and meditation. After relaxing for a bit, employees left with a thank you gift – a mini hand lotion and a colorful water bottle with the words, “Thank You for Being Awesome” written on it. We appreciate you!

To share all the benefits and how-to of new technology available at Masonic Village at Elizabethtown, IT and retirement living staff hosted a Technology Fair for residents. The event included highlights of Village Connect, which provides residents with access to event calendars, news, dining menus, maintenance request forms, safety monitoring and more. Guests included Jonathan Gould, chief technology officer of K4Connect, who highlighted the future possibilities, conveniences and security of AI, Alexa, responsive home options, wellness devices and more.??

The America's Best Nursing Homes ranking lists the nation's leading nursing homes in the 25 states with the highest number of facilities, according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).?The evaluation is based on quality metrics including medical performance indicators, a national online survey of medical professionals conducted by Newsweek and Google reviews for resident satisfaction.?Congratulations to all our staff who made this recognition possible and thank you?for your commitment to our residents! Masonic Village at Lafayette Hill's Wellness Committee invited staff to enjoy this year's health fair on Friday in the auditorium. Various community vendors were represented, including William Jeanes Memorial Library, Greater Plymouth Community Center, Highmark and Summit Spine and Wellness. Food and yoga demonstrations were part of the day, as well as raffles and chair massages. Thanks to the Wellness Committee for this opportunity to improve our health and overall well-being.
