Here's some good tips to scare a forester this Halloween. Try them out at your own peril. "Jump out from behind a tree dressed as an emerald ash borer. Emerald ash borer, EAB for short, is an exotic invasive wood-boring insect that infests and kills all types of ash tree species. One of our foresters had a very intense wildlife encounter last week. As they were going around to examine the fire scar on the base of an old growth Sequoia, they saw wolf tracks going into the base of the tree. They whistled to see if anything was inside and a wolf jumped out of the space only five feet from them and took off.
