Marylanders Online is a free, statewide program of the University of Maryland Extension (UME) in partnership with the College of Information (INFO) working to promote digital literacy, equity, and inclusion throughout the state of Maryland.
The Marylanders Online program serves as an accessible digital literacy resource that will close the digital divide experienced by the thousands of Maryland residents who lack access to the internet, a digital device, or the skills to utilize either. Through the provision of quality resources, tools, education, and support, Marylanders Online's goal is to promote digital literacy throughout the state of Maryland.
The toll-free Marylanders Online helpline 1-866-206-8467 is available Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or by emailing [email protected].

In February, Teri Mumm, Digital Navigation Program Manager of the University of Maryland Extension Marylanders Online program, delivered a presentation on "Internet Safety for Older Adults: A Guide to Staying Secure Online" during a workshop organized by the NARFE: The Association for Federal Employees and Retirees Chapter 1892, in collaboration with the Holiday Park Senior Center. Teri addressed participants' questions and concerns, leading to a lively discussion on the topic and how to use AI effectively. The Marylanders Online digital navigator team was also present to provide additional insights on cybersecurity and provide technical support for attendees' devices and applications. #AI #InternetSafety #OlderAdults #MarylandersOnline #CyberSecurity #TechSupport
