Reflecting over this weekend, I find hope in the inspiring and compelling work of #TeamMarylandMedicaid over the last six months. Our teams have made enormous strides and have an unwavering commitment for the 1.6M Marylanders that rely on us for their health coverage. Here are just a few remarkable highlights and photos -- shared with enormous gratitude. Leveraging 1115 waiver authority, we are recognizing the important intersection between health and housing. Read more here about our prescription for housing approach featured by Route Fifty: https://lnkd.in/e6B7bUg5 Medicaid will be an important cornerstone to Maryland's historic participation in the Advancing All-Payer Equity Approaches and Development (AHEAD) Model. Maryland was the first in the nation to ink an agreement that focuses on healthcare cost growth, quality and equity improvements, population health, and primary care investment. Our leadership team authored a comprehensive strategic plan around five goals -- innovation and access, equity and social determinants of health, alignment with AHEAD, supporting the development of a coordinated behavioral health system -- and critically important, focusing internally on those that work for Medicaid, the processes we create, and the systems/tools that we leverage to provide world-class service to participants and our 120K enrolled providers alike. Bringing together 700 associates across the Medicaid administration through our third #TownHall to drive engagement and improve workplace culture. After the unprecedented work of Medicaid redeterminations, our teams are now laser focused on the implementation of historic federal rules over the next six years that will yield a wide breadth of changes, including in the areas of enrollment/eligibility, managed care, home and community based services, and much more. A Federal Rules Summit brought together multi-disciplinary teams to foster collaboration and teamwork to implement this important work. This team's work has only just begun.
