Today, MARC Director of Business Development Morgan Pagels took a trip up to BriteLife Recovery in Pennsylvania to tour the facility and meet with the on-site case management team

This morning, MARC Director of Business Development Morgan Pagels and Director of Admissions Maura Maguire visited SAJE in Towson, a educational services, attention deficit, and executive functioning skills program started by local therapist Debbie Disney. They met with Kelli McClelland, Director of Education, Outreach and Advocacy, who allowed Maura the opportunity to test her attention skills on their Neurofeedback software Play Attention

Sunday, November 10th was International Accounting Day, a day promoting the accounting profession, which is vital for any organization. So here at MARC, we want to recognize and celebrate our Accounting Manager, Nadsjeri Cooper! Jeri joined the Maryland Addiction Recovery Center team in June of this year, and works with management on accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and vendor relationships. Prior to her employment at MARC, she spent the past eight and a half years in different fields and industries within accounting, from inventory data analyst to accounting manager, and in different areas, from Maryland to Las Vegas and eventually back again. Laughing, she said, “Accounting can take you places!” We are grateful for Jeri and her contributions to MARC, our mission, and the individuals and families we serve!

Today, we want to recognize and celebrate the 6 year MARC anniversary of Tara Pistorio, LCPC, CAC-AD! Tara is our Director of Clinical Development here at Maryland Addiction Recovery Center, a member of the MARC management team. Tara began working at MARC as a Primary Therapist on our clinical team, holding a case load and working directly with patients and families. She then became a Family Therapist, delivering clinical services and supporting patients, families and the Primary Therapists in all areas of MARC’s family treatment initiatives, including education, resources, and our 3 ? day Family Recovery Program (FRP.) In her current clinical leadership role as our Director of Clinical Development, she is responsible for the overall educational development, support, and training opportunities of the MARC clinical team, both individually as well as overall staff education and training. We are grateful for her leadership here, and for the ongoing care and support she offers to our staff, to our patients, and to their loved ones. Congratulations, Tara!

Today is Veteran’s Day, the federal holiday celebrated annually to honor the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Today, we want to recognize and celebrate the 1 year MARC anniversary of Carley Foster, LCPC! Carley is a Clinical Group Facilitator here at Maryland Addiction Recovery Center, running specialized groups for our patients in extended care Community Living, PHP, and IOP levels of care. A trained clinician in psychodrama and Somatic Experiencing, she has specialization working with client populations dealing with substance use disorder, trauma, PTSD, eating disorders, and body image issues. In addition to her role at MARC, Carley operates her private practice, Open Sky Therapy, in Towson, Maryland, helping clients in an outpatient setting overcome trauma, problematic substance use, and disordered eating by supercharging their creativity and spontaneity- important aspects of healing that often get overlooked in traditional therapy. We are grateful for the support that she consistently offers to our clinical team and our patients. Congratulations, Carley!

Last night in Philadelphia, Caron Treatment Centers hosted the 25th Annual Richard J. Caron Award of Excellence Gala. MARC Director of Business Development Morgan Pagels attended the event, celebrating our friend and colleague Mike Blanche of Ethos Treatment, LLC, who was honored with The Richard J. Caron Award of Excellence

Tonight, MARC Co-Founder Zach Snitzer and Director of Business Development Morgan Pagels attended the Caron Treatment Centers 13th Annual Recovery for Life Washington D.C. Gala, raising money for scholarships for those in need of treatment for addiction and mental health issues
