Monday, we fly to NYC to be featured on a network TV show (will reveal more when I can!). We are halfway through the MIT delta v Fundraising bootcamp and are prepping for investor meetings in NYC, San Francisco and Silicon Valley, but interest is already super high! Just over a year ago, I started my studies at MIT to learn how to improve healthcare access and equity. Never in a million years could I have envisioned doing that through entrepreneurship. One of the highlights of last week's trip to Massachusetts Institute of Technology was the visit to the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship, where I was invited to the staff meeting to update on the developments in Entrepreneurship in Madrid, having an opportunity to speak with awesome people there like Paul Cheek, Doug Williams, and Macauley Kenney, among others. As one of those "magic moments" there, I was introduced by Doug to Pablo Ome?aca Muro from StackAI: Amazing person and amazing company!! ... I also invited along Alfredo Sanchez from Inspiralia that is seeking to help startups in the USA in non-diluting equity... Since its launch in 2015, the J-WAFS at MIT Solutions program has played a pivotal role in advancing technologies that address global water and food challenges. With 28 grants supporting 19 innovative projects, nearly half have led to spinout companies or commercialized products, including eight companies and two open-source technologies. These ventures have also collectively secured close to $66 million in funding. This success is a testament not only to the innovative research but also to the strength of MIT's innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E) ecosystem, which brings a rich array of resources to help inventors commercialize their technologies, drive impact and scale. As we celebrate J-WAFS' 10th anniversary this year, we reflect on the collaborative efforts that make these impacts possible.
