No matter how fast you go or how many steps you take, each step forward is an accomplishment to celebrate! After suffering from a stroke in 2019 that damaged his nerves, Roger McVicker underwent amputation of his right leg below-the-knee in 2023. His first prosthesis was a traditional suction socket that was uncomfortable, hot, and difficult to bear weight on. He was constantly adding socks to accommodate for volume fluctuation and after countless adjustments, he knew he needed a change. Our adjustable straps and lightweight design caught his eye, and he has not looked back since! He wears his socket all day long from 7 A.M. until night and is able to participate in outings, such as, watching his grandson's sporting events. When he is not cheering proudly in the stands, he is serving jams with his DJ business. This requires him to be on his feet for long periods of time setting up and taking down, so having a socket that works with his activities is a game-changer.
