Some new IO link master testing this morning, Happy Friday! ?? We are testing Turck's TAS ( Turck Automation Suite ) & the multi protocol IO link master ( TBEN series ). Couple highlights that I really like. 1. Security ?? - You are required to create a password to access parameter controls & functionality of TAS 2. Ease of use - Software uses a web browser, edge - chrome seem to be the best. "The software is very intuitive out of the box". 3. Data collection & setup ?? - This is a huge improvement compared to some competitors, you can easily click different trends and get accurate data from your application in a "nice" display. You can easily clear the chart to restart trend & also export to a CSV for further analysis. New install for a customer ??. Siemens Scalene W700 Access Point paired up with a PLCnext Technology talking with some Rockwell processors in their grinding plant. 1. Siemens W700 is a great device, easy setup, great GUI, solid range & extremely durable - rugged.. ?? 2. Phoenix Contact, the PLCnext Technology is a very interesting and powerful device for data collection & IOT space. We are using the integrated web browser built into the units. ?? This iPad loves in a front end loader & connects to the secure network, allows operators to monitor grinding amperage, tank levels, fault status & safety status.
