Congratulations to all winners of the WV Makes Festival Design Challenge, including adult category grand champs (top), a Putnam County trio for Better Than Butter Technologies, a manipulative device that assists culinary students in their learning and memorization of traditional measurements of butter, allowing them to more easily estimate the measurements from a one-pound block; and youth category grand champs (bottom), McDowell County Gifted Program students for their SMART Train that uses technologies ranging from 3D printing and audio-visuals to sensors and aerial drones to engineer an immersive, interactive experience with local landmarks and historic spots along the county railroad.
