We're proud to actively support the clean energy transition, advancing geothermal activities and sustainable helium capture solutions. Here's a glimpse into our commitment: Project Case Study: We successfully delivered an integrated services project in Switzerland, conforming to the stringent Swiss Clean Air Act. By modifying our drilling equipment to use power from the national grid instead of diesel gensets and implementing enhanced emission filtration systems, we reduced CO2 emissions by approximately 1700t in one year. This is equivalent to powering 331 homes' electricity or driving 378 passenger vehicles for one year! Example of Sustainable Technology: - Generators with Selective Catalytic Reduction systems reducing NOx emissions by 70%-80%. - Variable Frequency Drives on main electric motors for increased efficiency. - High-Pressure Unit Eco Booster optimizing hydraulic pump utilisation. - LED lighting systems. - Site-based waste and water treatment processes. - Solar PV for head office and remote rig and camp locations. - Emission filters on prime movers and mobile plant. - Engine management systems for optimising power use. ???Investing in Future Talent at Marriott Drilling Group!??? Over the past year, we've had the privilege of hosting several school and university students from around the world for work experience. We believe in providing students with real-world exposure to the corporate environment, empowering them for future career success. One shining example is Maryann Orwa, a Petroleum Geoscience student from Kenya. After completing her time with us, Maryann shared this heartfelt message: “My name is Maryann, a Petroleum Geoscience student. In October 2023, I was attached to the Marriott Drilling Group for a three-month period. My experience was quite amazing. I do not take anything that I learnt for granted. The attachment exposed me to demands and challenges in the drilling industry, helped me gain a lot of practical experience, work ethics, health, safety, and environment management skills. One of the greatest benefits I received is the knowledge that I gained, and I actually enjoy what I am studying. I could not have asked for a better attachment for work experience. During my attachment period, I was honoured to work for the best drilling company in the UK and probably worldwide. My experience with Marriott Drilling Group has been outstanding. I was very pleased with the quality of their services and their key responsibility in maintaining a safe working environment for their employees and for their environment compliance. I am so grateful for the opportunity.” We're honoured to have played a role in Maryann's journey and are grateful for the opportunity to support aspiring talents like her. With over 75 years of experience, our groundwater engineering division has drilled hundreds, if not thousands, of water abstraction boreholes across the UK, Ireland, and Central America. From designing and installing pumping systems to drilling and testing new boreholes, our team is equipped with the expertise to handle every aspect of borehole drilling projects. We work closely with trusted consultancies and governing bodies to ensure the highest standards are met on every project. Innovative River Top-up Schemes?? We are dedicated to partnering with Water Authorities across the UK to enhance sustainability and support our precious rivers. Through initiatives like the Water Industry National Environment Programme (WINEP), we're involved in various projects aimed at river top-up schemes. From drilling and constructing new boreholes to refurbishing existing ones and adapting headworks on artesian boreholes, our efforts are focused on providing essential support to our rivers. Additionally, we collaborate closely with Water Authorities and Commercial users to maintain and upgrade their existing boreholes, ensuring they operate at peak efficiency. Through our expertise and dedication, we contribute to vital projects aimed at safeguarding our rivers and ecosystems.
