关于我们
Marque is a law firm that does not measure the value of its people or its clients in six minute units of time. We do not charge by the hour. We do not charge you when we pick up the phone or send you an email. We do not charge you for taking you to lunch or travel time or any of that kind of stuff that is disconnected from the real value of what we do. We invest in long term relationships with our clients, and we measure the value of our services in the same way that you do. We have a lot to offer, and we provide it in a way that doesn’t hurt. That's a small part of the Marque difference. Finally, lawyers who get it.

Yesterday, hosted by Dr Sarah Kaine MLC, AFC members gathered at Parliament House for a Ministerial address by and roundtable with Hon. Courtney Houssos MLC, Domestic Manufacturing Minister. AFC Members Eric Phu (Citizen Wolf), Jacquie Macdougall (The Social Outfit), Jackie Galleghan (madre natura ), Alison Lennard (Philosophy Australia) and simon stewart (Stewart & Heaton Clothing Company), discussed with Hon. Minister Houssos MLC their key concerns and recommendations that can help advance manufacturing here in NSW and broadly nationally. We also shared the key findings of the Victorian Local Manufacturing report the Australian Fashion Council launched last month in partnership with Epson Australia, and discussed its implications for NSW. We thank Dr Sarah Kaine MLC for hosting and the Hon. Minister Houssos MLC, Minister for Finance, Minister for Domestic Manufacturing and Government Procurement, and Minister for Natural Resources, for listening to our industry opportunities and challenges. We look forward to updating you on the next steps of the NSW Manufacturing Strategy. We’ve noticed a sense of unease creeping into the Australian fashion industry. The recent liquidation of industry darling Dion Lee, reportedly with liabilities nearing $35 million, has come off the heels of the near collapse of Tigerlily. While Tigerlily was saved by Seafolly’s purchase, Dion Lee hasn’t been so lucky, leaving unsecured creditors, reportedly with liabilities around $5.6 million, in a particularly precarious position. 'Navigating the new EU AI Act: What Australian businesses should know'. The EU AI Act, which came into force in August 2024, is the first legal framework of its kind. It regulates the development, deployment and use of AI systems by placing obligations on ‘providers’ (i.e., those who develop AI systems), ‘deployers’ (i.e., those who use such systems in the EU), ‘importers’ and ‘distributors’.
