Senator Kelly's commitment to the U.S. Navy is exemplified through his co-sponsorship of the SHIPS for America Act - a key initiative to revitalize and strengthen the American shipbuilding industry. Roger Camp, President of ASSA and member company representatives presented the association’s highest honor today to Senator Mark Kelly (AZ). He is the recipient of the Honorable Thad Cochran Leadership Award. After decades of service in the United States Navy and as a space shuttle astronaut, Senator Kelly returned to public service on the Hill. In 2024 he co-sponsored and co-authored the SHIPS for America Act, which is intended to restore US maritime dominance. One of the key elements of the act is the revitalization of the American shipbuilding industry.

Rise and shine! Firefly’s #BlueGhost lander captured its first sunrise on the Moon, marking the beginning of the lunar day and the start of surface operations in its new home. Our #GhostRiders have already begun operating many of the 10 NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration payloads aboard the lander and will continue operations over the next two weeks and into the lunar night. #BGM1
