?? Let’s learn about 3D Gradients in Toolbag 5! Our latest video tutorial shows how to creatively use 3D gradient layers combined with vector layers and 3D transforms to create mechanical vent details. The non-destructive nature of 3D gradients gives artists precise control over how textures and colors interact across 3D models, making it easy and flexible to achieve realistic results. Watch the full tutorial to learn about 3D gradients and more new features in Toolbag 5: https://lnkd.in/detgusUg

?? Have you hopped on board the Vector Layers hype train yet? This non-destructive layer type in Toolbag 5 lets you draw geometric and organic shapes using editable procedural curves and splines while texturing. In our latest video tutorial, Steph shows you the power of vector tools and how to use them to draw fabric stitches. Watch the complete tutorial to learn about Vector Layers and more exciting features: https://lnkd.in/dgdKmk6t

?? Introducing Material Layering in Toolbag 5! ?? This feature is perfect for layering complex details across props, characters, expansive terrain, buildings, and more! ?? Toolbag 5 supports techniques like secondary UV masking and adds advanced tools like tri-planar projection and vertex color blending for a seamless, UV-free experience. Choose from the following layering modes: ?? Mask Mode: Add up to four unique masks per image (RGBA) for a virtually limitless number of layers ??? Height Mode: Use a height or depth map. Each material layer automatically corresponds to a segment of the height map, providing many possibilities for detailed surfaces. ?? Vertex Color Mode: Assign each layer to a vertex channel (RGBA), allowing up to five distinct layers with precise control. Use texture maps—albedo, roughness, normals, and more—to fine-tune details, adding weathering effects like dirt and stains for ultra-realistic finishes. ?? Ready to dive into Material Layering? Download Toolbag 5 now: marmoset.co/

?? Introducing the Clone tool for Paint Layers in Toolbag 5! Easily sample content from one area and paint it onto another. The clone tool is perfect for: ??? Correcting UV seam problems ??? Duplicating details easily Want to start cloning? 1?? Add a Paint Layer to your Texture Project.? 2?? Select the Clone tool from the toolbar.? 3?? Choose to sample from all layers or just the current layer. 4?? Hold Ctrl + LMB to set your sample point.? 5?? Paint away! Start painting with Toolbag 5 today: marmoset.co

?? New In Toolbag 5: Generate Missing Input Maps The content generation system developed for Sync Points can now auto-generate missing input maps directly from your mesh and normal map. Forgot to bake an AO or curvature map? No worries – this feature has you covered! ?? Just add an Input Map type in your Texture Project settings and leave it blank and the system will automatically generate the map for you. Supported Maps: ? Ambient Occlusion ? Curvature ? Height Note: Auto-generated maps are approximations. Baking is still recommended when high-poly versions are available, but this feature is an excellent opportunity to keep your workflow flowing ?? ?? Download Toolbag 5: marmoset.co

Now available in Toolbag 5: Carve Groups ?? Take control of your textures by grouping multiple layers and seamlessly carving through them using a single gradient-style interface. Say goodbye to duplicating masks across layers—Carve Groups give you an intuitive way to easily create multi-layer effects like dirt, erosion, and wear. ?? Download Toolbag 5 to try Carve Groups and transform your texturing pipeline: marmoset.co

?? Toolbag 5 introduces Sync Points, a powerful new layer type that saves time by generating input map data—like curvature, ambient occlusion, and height—directly from the detail you created in your Texture Project. This feature saves countless hours by drawing your details in Toolbag rather than modeling them in your 3D application. ?? Sync Points automatically pass new input data to ensure mask effects stay updated with any changes made in lower layers, whether it’s nuts, bolts, dents, or organic detail. With just a few clicks, you can adjust, refresh, and fine-tune Sync Points to your liking. ?? Try Sync Points in Toolbag 5 now and speed up your workflow: marmoset.co?
