As most of Boston (and beyond!) probably knows at this point, marlo marketing turned 20 this year. (Hey, if a marketing agency can’t figure out how to spread out the celebration all year long, who can?!)?Although we’ve been celebrating with our studio series every month, this past Wednesday we hosted a bash at Eastern Standard Kitchen & Drinks to bring together former and current colleagues, clients, and friends. There were some serious ‘blast from the past’ moments, great food & drink courtesy of ES, Narragansett Brewing Company and Curamia Tequila, and cake – LOTS of cake. One refrain I am lucky to hear often but have heard ad nauseum over the past month, first with our studio series fundraiser for The Wonderfund and now this party, has been some variation of this “I met wonderful people, Marlo. What an amazing circle you have around you. It's awesome.” It is certainly true. So, thank you to all who came out to celebrate and to all those who have been a part of my orbit over the past 20 years. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cut it!

The second to last marlo marketing 20th anniversary studio series event of 2024 is in the books - and it was spectacular: a dinner party that shared the evolution of the Boston dining scene through the eyes of one of the city's preeminent restaurateurs, Eastern Standard Kitchen & Drinks Garrett Harker. Alongside his longtime Beverage Director and internationally-acclaimed mixologist jackson cannon, Harker's journey opening No. 9 Park in 1998 through B&G Oysters, The Butcher Shop, Eastern Standard, ICOB, Branchline, Row 34 and more was told through stories, food & drink. And the best part? We used the dinner to raise $10K for The Wonderfund, an organization helmed by Lauren Baker to support the needs of foster kids in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts DCF. Tremendous thanks to GH, JC, Sophie Cranin, Chef Jeffrey & the entire ESKD team for always saying "yes." To Lauren & Charlie Baker for bringing the heart. To Lydia Shilland for being my right hand in pulling off every idea I come up with. And to everyone who came out and supported, thank you, thank you, thank you!
