?????????????? ??, ????????. ? ? A message from our Chief Development Officer, Stacie Winslow:? ? September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. It’s a time for many pediatric cancer charities to spread awareness and fundraise. I’d be lying if I said it isn’t a heavy time for many of us. We are bombarded by memories and photos and frustrations that come from thinking about ways to battle the behemoth that took our Marlee. It seemed especially heavy for me, as on September 1 , I lost my dad—I had a hard time reckoning MY grief at losing someone who lived 80 years with the grief of families losing children at 21, 18, TWELVE….and younger. I should have faced the fears of my feelings but didn’t. Consequently, you did not hear from Marlee’s smile in September. ? ? Now it’s October and the month of what would have been Marlee’s 18th birthday. Every day, we will see a photo of a life gracefully and beautifully lived. And it all happens because of YOU. Friends and supporters who still speak her name and share her story. So, I’m giving us a new and audacious goal in this month that we give thanks for Marlee being born: ??????’?? ?????????? $????,?????? ???? ?????????????? ???????? ?????? ???????? ?????????????????? ????????????. ? We start today. Thank you, Addison for continuing Marlee’s legacy and placing furry friends in the arms of pediatric cancer patients this summer Camp Quality Arkansas and Camp Quality Northwest Missouri! You raised the money, wrote the notes, built the bears and shared with so many.
