Our Marketing majors are crushing it! ??? Three students Lillian Stewart, Victoria Webb, & Amanda Palmer from MKTG 351 have been invited to join Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) — the highest honor for business students worldwide! ???? ?? HRTM 282 brought the flavor!?? On November 14th, the class dipped into creativity with an exciting dip competition. ?? Each group crafted a unique theme, incorporating sustainability, a secret ingredient, a local ingredient, and the results were deliciously impressive! ?? We had 140 voters come through the line to taste and cast their votes! ?? And the winner is... ?? Mango Cheesecake Dip! ???? A sweet victory that stole the show! Honoring our heroes this Veterans Day! ???? Today, we proudly recognize our very own Dr. Jerome Christia, who served as a Petty Officer in the U.S. Naval Nuclear Power Program aboard the USS Bainbridge (CGN-25), a guided missile destroyer in Norfolk, Virginia. Today, the Wall College of Business had the honor of hosting Mayor Barbara Blain of Conway, SC for the Leadership Speaker Series! A proud graduate of Whittemore High School, Coastal Carolina College, and the University of South Carolina, Mayor Blain has dedicated over 25 years to social work and law, serving as a city council member since 1991 and now in her third term as mayor. She shared her inspiring journey, the improvements she's working on to grow the city of Conway, and the challenges she's overcome throughout her career. Her message to students was to take risks to build your future, it is okay to fail, live life fully, and always be kind. Mayor Blain is a true leader committed to uplifting her community! Last week our American Marketing Assocation members had the honor of hearing from Associate Professor, Dr. Patrick van Esch! Dr Patrick van Esch is an Australian native, who earned his Doctor of Business Administration degree from Southern Cross University and a Master of Management degree from Charles Sturt University. His research interests encompass artificial intelligence, consumer psychology, and political ideology. He showed our members new ideas of how AI can be beneficial within many industries especially within marketing but also shared the mistakes AI has made over its development. Thank you Dr. van Esch for teaching our members new ideas!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting Myia Joiner, a proud CCU alumna, and Sarah Bonnoitt from HTC, Myrtle Beach’s internet provider! They shared valuable insights from their personal and professional journeys, teaching our members to be persistent, how to build their personal brand, and to foster strong relationships both in the workplace and outside. HTC is an amazing company offering plenty of local opportunities, including internships for students! Keep an eye out for future opportunities with HTC!
