A very nice start to 2024 ... The S&P 500 closed the quarter at a record high, capping off a very strong 10.6% return for the first three months. Market returns broadened during February and March, a positive sign of confidence, with small cap stocks (Russell 2000) leading the way over the larger S&P 500 those two months. Trust Flexibility in the Granite State We know. “Granite” does not immediately conjure images of flexibility, but under the New Hampshire Trust Code, flexibility is exactly what the Granite State provides to trust administration. In many instances, New Hampshire allows for trust modifications without the need for court intervention and the time and expense. Primary methods of such intervention include Trustee Modification, Non-Judicial Settlement Agreements (“NJSAs”) and Decanting.
