Today, Mark Miller Subaru had the privilege of delivering cozy blankets to the incredible patients at Utah Cancer Specialists as part of Subaru Loves to Care Month. For the past 9 years, our #SubaruLovesToCare initiative has provided warmth, love, and support to those facing the difficult diagnosis of cancer in our communities. Subaru believes we all should have a chance to lead healthy lives. This June, Subaru and its retailers are partnering with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society? (LLS) and their local hospital cancer treatment centers to give warm blankets and encouraging messages of hope written by retailers and Subaru customers in their stores to support patients facing cancer. The Mark Miller Subaru HEART Committee is thrilled to share a story that perfectly embodies the Subaru Love Promise! A mother from Ohio recently reached out with a heartwarming tale about her son, a student new to Utah, who found himself stranded with a flat tire. Despite having AAA, he was saved by a young man who went above and beyond to help him. The helper, an Express Lube Technician at Mark Miller Subaru South Towne, not only changed the tire but also coached the student on safe driving with the spare. The mother's message touched our hearts: "My son was saved by a nice young man from your dealership who stopped to change his tire. We need more Good Samaritans! I love that your organization honors these principles!" Our employees live by Core Values like “Care for People, Pets, and the Planet,” and “Treat Everyone Like Family.” This technician's actions, even after hours, demonstrate these values both in and out of work. CEO Jeff Miller and the HEART Committee celebrated him with heart- and tire-shaped cookies, recognizing his kindness and generosity. Additionally, the HEART Committee sent the student a shirt, socks, keychain, and card as a gesture of appreciation.
