The arts connect us in powerful ways—helping us understand one another, strengthening mental health, and enriching our communities. New findings from “Americans Speak Out About the Arts” reveal why the public strongly supports government-funded arts programs: 1?? Fostering empathy, tolerance, and inclusion: 72% of Americans say the arts provide shared experiences with people of different races, ethnicities, ages, beliefs, and identities. 2?? Helping veterans transition to civilian life: 82% of Americans support arts programs designed to assist veterans. 3?? Reducing isolation for older adults: 81% agree arts programs combat loneliness and isolation among older adults. 4?? Enhancing public safety and mental health: 81% back programs that use the arts to support mental health, and 71% approve of arts initiatives that promote public safety. These findings underscore the transformative power of the arts to build stronger, more connected communities. Let’s continue advocating for policies and funding that ensure these benefits are accessible to all. Explore the full survey results in our complimentary report. https://lnkd.in/eh9G9yKp
