关于我们
MarineParents.com, Inc., is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) public charity founded on January 21, 2003 to provide support, information, and services to Marines and their families, and to create opportunities for civilians to support our troops. In ten years of service, Marine Parents has made a huge impact in support of Marines, military personnel, and their families. Marine families are encouraged to support one another through activities and networking provided by the organization and guided by trained volunteers. Outreach to injured troops is volunteer-centered with in-person contact. Additional troop-support centered programs are designed to actively engage civilians and communities across America while maintaining the privacy of military personnel. All services are offered free to families, Marines and military personnel. In addition to the moderated, OpSEC-compliant Marine Family Network (MFN), chat rooms and informative websites, several outreach programs to support Marines and families before, during and after the Marine Corps are provided. Funding for the programs is through donations, grants, fundraising and store sales. In 2009, the 15-item online store expanded, eventually becoming the EGA Shop. In 2010, the production facility was established on-site to print customizable product, dramatically boosting sales and providing additional funding for the outreach programs. The organization is an official Marine Corps Trademark licensee.

MPTA Helps Marine Father, Jason, Attend Graduation Thank you Marine Parents Travel Assistance! https://lnkd.in/gX-NXDt9 On Friday, November 15, 2024, Marine Parents Travel Assistance sent Jason, the Father of a recruit, to San Diego for the recruit's graduation from Mike Company to become a Marine. ''I am a single father of 4 kids, with two still in grade school and my oldest joining the Marines in August. The timing wasn’t good for me to be able to pay for the airline tickets, let alone car rental and, most of all, hotel stay to be able to go to Family Day and graduation. This travel grant allowed my new Marine son to be the reason I overcame my fears of flying and heights and got on my first flight to see him finish his path to becoming a new Marine. I am so proud of him that I am crying. I am humbled to be given this assistance. Thank You, Marine Parents! Jason, New Marine Dad'' Read more Travel Assistance stories! https://lnkd.in/gZCbMYGG Donate to help other families attend graduation! https://bit.ly/usmcta

History of 8th & I Learn about Marine Barracks Washington, also known as 8th & I. https://lnkd.in/gztqSPfp Marine Barracks Washington, known as "8th & I," is the oldest post in the Marine Corps and has been the residence of every Commandant since 1806. The site for the barracks, at the intersection of 8th St. and I St. in Washington, D.C., was chosen by President Thomas Jefferson and the second Commandant of the Marine Corps, Lt. Col. William Ward Burrows, after the two rode through the city looking for a suitable location. The intersection of 8th St. and I St. was chosen due to its proximity to the Washington Naval Yard and the fact that it was within easy marching distance of the Capitol building. Today, 8th & I is arranged much as it was in the early 1800s, and its buildings used in a similar manner. The Home of the Commandant, located at the north end of the barracks, was completed in 1806 and is the only original building still in use, with the rest of the barracks having been rebuilt between 1900 and 1907. The Home of the Commandant is the oldest public building in continuous use in Washington D.C. Read about 8th & I at MarineParents.com! https://lnkd.in/gdnztCsa
