MarineMax Yachts proudly announced the sale of a 2025 Azimut 78 Fly by Brendan Bailey of MarineMax Fort Myers. The new yacht’s owner, an avid private jet pilot and seasoned boater, first met Brendan at a marina in Dallas, Texas, where he kept his Sea Ray 44 Sundancer. Their connection grew over years of shared experiences at the docks, eventually leading to a close friendship. As his passion for boating evolved, he upgraded to a Sea Ray 540 Sundancer, and later an Azimut 60 Fly to embrace coastal cruising. With his family’s growing love of the water and a desire to host guests more comfortably, the Azimut 78 Fly became the perfect next step in his yachting journey. Adding to his confidence in MarineMax, the owner has established a strong relationship with Yacht Service Manager Brandon Webber. Brandon’s relentless dedication to ensuring the owner’s complete satisfaction has been instrumental in fostering trust in both the MarineMax brand and its team. Brendan Bailey commented, reflecting on the sale, “The relationship I have with the owners goes beyond any transaction and has become a lifelong friendship. Alisdair Martin, marine industry consultant, has been elected as the new president of the association and succeeds Courtney Chalmers, vice president of marketing for Boats Group, who previously held the position. Abbey Heimensen, vice president of marketing for MarineMax, will continue in her role as MMA vice president. Katy Fairman, director of marketing and business development at Boatyard, will serve as secretary, and Dana K., Patrick Industries, Inc. director of aftermarket strategy and business development, Marine, is treasurer. In addition, new board members serving three-year include Rene Moore, brand manager at Monterey Boats and Blackfin Boats, and Freya Olsen, Marine Retailers Association of the Americas (MRAA) senior director of engagement.
