Marine Marketers of America [MMA] is thrilled to announce the election of our new officers and the appointment of new board members. ?? Alisdair Martin, marine industry consultant, has been elected as the new president of the association and succeeds Courtney Chalmers, vice president of marketing for Boats Group, who previously held the position. Abbey Heimensen, vice president of marketing for MarineMax, will continue in her role as MMA vice president. Katy Fairman, director of marketing and business development at Boatyard, will serve as secretary, and Dana K., Patrick Industries, Inc. director of aftermarket strategy and business development, Marine, is treasurer. In addition, new board members serving three-year include Rene Moore, brand manager at Monterey Boats and Blackfin Boats, and Freya Olsen, Marine Retailers Association of the Americas (MRAA) senior director of engagement. They join a board that includes Leslie Zlotnick, marketing division manager at Yamaha WaterCraft; Stephanie Vatalaro, senior vice president of strategy and operations at the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation; Victor M. Gonzalez, CMO of Sportsman Boats and Phenom Yachts; ROMINA BOMPANI, head of marketing, SuperYachtsMonaco; Brian Chandler, APR, CEO of Commonwealth Public Relations & Marketing, Inc.; and Katie Freeburn, senior marketing manager, Freedom Boat Club, Brunswick Corporation. “We've experienced remarkable membership growth over the past two years, and our momentum continues to build,” Alisdair Martin added. “Now more than ever, it’s essential to foster community among marketers in our industry. Applied to be on the judging panel for the 2024 Neptune Awards Marine Marketers of America is NOW selecting the judging panel for the 2024 Neptune Awards competition. Each judge will be responsible for vetting 1-2 categories of the Neptune Awards based on set criteria. They will be assigned based on areas of expertise and in accordance with any conflict of interest. Entrants to the competition are allowed to judge categories in which they are not competing. AIMIE is a fantastic tool for dealers to use, no matter their size, to address pain points in a variety of categories. Great tool. ?? Boat Show Marketing | 2023 Winner: Pursuit Boats - 2023 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show Pursuit showed a good use of digital tactics with an exceptional email response. They engaged with the media in a meaningful and impactful way around the launch of their new model. It was clear and concise and did a great job of fulfilling the brief. ?? Email Marketing | 2023 Winner: Sea Ray Boats - SLX 280 Model Launch Email Successful campaign with engaging visuals and informative workflows to keep the prospects engaged.
