Annual "Ask A CPA Event "Friday November 15th, 2024 12pm PST As we wind down another year there are always questions that arise in February that we wished we’d thought of a few months prior. This is your chance to “Ask a CPA” those questions. Start thinking about what you want to ask because John Morre, CPA, is joining us again to give updates and take our questions. A couple things that he will speak on are any 2024 tax updates as well as a follow-up from last year’s 1099-K update. (Example - what are the thresholds, do I need to 1099 for Zelle or Venmo or debit cards payments?) https://lnkd.in/gMFc4bVh?

A professional and educational network for Bay Area bookkeepers to meet, collaborate and learn.
关于我们
In 1987 an imaginative bookkeeper had an idea that a bookkeepers' network would help her and other bookkeepers to polish their skills. She asked John Morre, CPA, to help her form the group, being sure that there were other bookkeepers who would be interested. That was the beginning of the Marin Bookkeepers Network. With a monthly meeting format of introductions and speakers that continues to this day, the Network grew to over 100 bookkeepers. We heard speakers on a variety of topics such as sales tax, accounting software, payroll services and organizers. Over time presentations included tech topics as that became essential knowledge for bookkeepers. At the same time the group began to offer referral services to businesses and individuals and welcomed people in industries related to bookkeeping, like bankers and payroll services to join the group as affiliate members. One of the greatest values is the connections we made. Through the group we could always find somebody to answer a question or offer a suggestion. Our bookkeepers are on a path to greater knowledge of bookkeeping, more education in the growing impact of the Internet, and a place to expand our knowledge of the needs of our clients. The idea of working remotely has greatly increased the range of clients we are able to serve. Webinars, both recorded and live have broadened our selection of presenters and increased the scope of education. Monthly presentations keep us in touch with the additional new applications offered enhancing our ability to keep records for large corporation and the smallest dream of one creative person. Our network of bookkeepers range from independent contractors to employees of large accounting firms. Some work full time for only one client, and others work part time for many clients. All of this has created the “Marin Bookkeepers Network” of today.

Help organizations streamline client onboarding and revenue cycle workflows, and ensure they get paid on time, every time. Join our Friday Oct. 18 Webinar. As bookkeepers and accounting professional business owners, we deal with a lot of invoices. We also deal with onboarding new clients, which, if not streamlined, can be a time-sucking, laborious, process. There are accounting software companies that streamline this process but charge high subscription fees. Anchor has no subscription fees and is a highly effective tool in streamlining the onboarding process, invoicing and timely accounts receivable. Omri Peled, will introduce the Anchor's software to us. Throughout this session, Omri will explore Anchor’s autonomous end-to-end billing and payments solution, which covers the entire cycle—from vendor and client agreements to managing invoices, payments, and reconciliation. He’ll discuss best practices and highlight the new and exciting tools Anchor has just released to help business owners streamline workflows, save valuable time, protect their revenues, and ensure they get paid on time, every time. https://lnkd.in/gcd8gGNc
