We had an INCREDIBLE group of volunteers at our distribution center on Sunday, December 8 to pack #SackHungerBags! ?? Together, we filled bags with seven pantry essentials, each bag providing 5 ? meals to those in need across 149 stores in #Wisconsin and #Illinois. It was an inspiring day of teamwork and community, showing what's possible when we work together to feed the human spirit. With your help, we can provide an additional 245,000 meals in our communities this holiday season. Look for “Sack Hunger” Bags in stores on your next visit, purchase a bag for $5, and join us in helping feed your neighbors this holiday season. Each bag purchased supports local food banks in partnership with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin, Greater Chicago Food Depository, and Northern Illinois Food Bank. Hello LinkedIn! For my first official LI post, I'd like to shine a light on GRAND GIVING, my annual food insecurity campaign and fundraiser that kicks off November 1st! For the 11th year, we're partnering with Mariano's where shoppers at 44 Chicagoland locations can make a donation of $1, $5 or $10 or roundup at the register. All proceeds benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository and the Northern Illinois Food Bank (solvehungertoday.org) which are amazing organizations that help put food on the table for thousands of kids and families in need.
