Yesterday, I met with one of the founders of FUL Foods. They created here in Amsterdam a refreshing naturally blue microalgae-based superfood tonic they call Ful Revive. It’s bursting with antioxidants and vitamins, but low in sugar with only 25Kcal per bottle. It’s tasty (lemon/ginger or lime/mint), has a lovely color (ideal for #cocktails and it’s good for the #planet! Microalgae – here Spirulina – produce half the oxygen we breathe, are more efficient than trees to capture CO2 and don’t need arable land and harmful chemicals to grow. Delicious and sustainable idea I wanted to share!

In the vast, lush landscapes of the Anamalai Tiger Reserve in Tamil Nadu, India, a story unfolds that captures the essence of maternal love and the indomitable spirit of nature. It’s a tale that might remind one of the animated adventure "Finding Nemo," only this time, it's about the majestic beings that roam the land: elephants. Our story begins with a mother elephant, a gentle giant whose heart ached with the absence of her calf. Days felt like years, each moment stretching on as she longed for her missing child. The calf, curious and adventurous, had wandered away, finding itself lost, unable to return to its mother’s protective embrace. The separation not only stirred the forest's silent whispers but also touched the hearts of those who watch over these lands, the dedicated foresters of the Anamalai Tiger Reserve. Led by Supriya Sahu, the Additional Chief Secretary of Environment, Climate Change & Forests of Tamil Nadu, a meticulous search was initiated. The mission was clear: to reunite the distressed calf with its waiting mother. Employing the eyes of the sky, drones buzzed above the canopy, while experienced forest watchers tread silently below. The synergy between technology and traditional wisdom unfolded beautifully, illustrating humanity’s capacity to aid those in need. Then, the moment of reunion came, captured by the unblinking eye of a drone. The mother, upon seeing her calf, seemed to sigh in relief, a heavy burden lifted from her shoulders. If she could speak, she might have scolded, "Look what you put me through. I've lost 10 years of my life. Now you are grounded forever." Yet, in her embrace, there was nothing but love, a love so profound that it resonated through the forest, a testament to the unbreakable bond between a mother and her child. As the mother cuddled her calf, the world around them paused, a silent witness to their love. This reunion was not just a victory for the foresters or the elephants but a poignant reminder of the interconnectedness of life. In this corner of the world, where tigers prowl and elephants roam, a simple story of a mother and her calf bridges the gap between humanity and the wild. It's a narrative of hope, showing that even in the vastness of the wild, a single act of kindness can ripple through the heart of the forest. This heartwarming tale, shared far and wide, becomes a beacon of light, illuminating the goodness that exists when we extend our hands in fellowship with the natural world. In the end, we find not just the calf, but the essence of family, love, and the unspoken bond that ties us all to the majestic tapestry of life on Earth.
