Introducing one of our Spring Greenhouse Cohort members, Kristin Introvigne! Kristin has dedicated 17 years to the March of Dimes, holding various roles throughout her career. She started at the Massachusetts Chapter office as a Community Director, focusing on building the board of directors and organizing successful fundraising events in Western Massachusetts. After a year in that position, she transitioned to Division Director, overseeing the Eastern, Central, and Western Massachusetts divisions. Following her experience in the field, Kristin moved into Operations, progressing from Operations Manager to ESS Director and then to Logistics Director. Currently, she serves as the Senior Director of Operations, collaborating closely with the Centralized Logistics team, Constituent Success, the Warehouse, the Data Entry Center, and General Operations. Before coming to the March of Dimes, Kristin gave her expertise to Easter Seals Massachusetts and Johnson Memorial Hospital. Kristin lives in Connecticut with her husband, Joe, and their two children, Megan and Joey. In her free time, she enjoys coaching her children in their various sports, reading, and baking. She is also actively involved in several local volunteer organizations, including the Stafford Basketball Board of Directors, and assisting Stafford Little League where needed. When she isn't at work, you can often find Kristin on the sidelines, coaching or cheering on her children. The March of Dimes Greenhouse Cohort provides employees with the incredible opportunity to nurture their talent and grow their skills to cultivate success. “I’m excited for this opportunity because it gives me a moment to pause, reflect, and truly focus on my development as a leader.” Kristin shared. Join us in celebrating Kristin’s journey in the Greenhouse program as she advances her leadership skills and continues to make a meaningful impact on the lives of moms and babies.

In Lubbock, TX, a new mom unknowingly had measles when she gave birth, exposing other mothers, newborns, and hospital staff to one of the most contagious viruses in the world. This outbreak isn’t just a warning—it’s a wake-up call. Measles can spread through the air and linger for hours, putting the most vulnerable at risk. Vaccines protect our communities, our hospitals, and our tiniest, most fragile lives. If you're pregnant or planning to be, talk to your doctor about getting vaccinated. Protect yourself. Protect your baby. #MeaslesOutbreak NBC News

Yesterday, more than 30 advocates gathered at the Ohio Statehouse for March for Change, meeting with legislators to push for urgent action on the maternal and infant health crisis in Ohio. With the state ranking 43rd in infant mortality, we made it clear that change cannot wait. We championed the benefits that would result from critical investments in House Bill 96, including a refundable child tax credit of up to $1,000, increased funding for Help Me Grow, Infant Vitality supports, and WIC modernization. These measures will directly impact families and help save lives. Our advocates also voiced strong support for Senate Bill 84, which would establish September 19 as Stillbirth Prevention Day. Ohio loses 760 babies to stillbirth each year—more than the national average. This bill will raise awareness, expand resources for expecting mothers, and help prevent stillbirths. We are proud to stand up for Ohio’s mothers and babies. Together, we are driving local policy in communities across the country to ensure a future where every mom and baby has a healthy start.
