This workshop uses a comprehensive agribusiness curriculum, each attendee will get to take home a brand-new copy of the coveted Fearless Farm Finances book. Breakfast and lunch are provided. During the evening, participants are invited to join an optional group dinner outing to get to know your new farmer friends! Sunday, April 13 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Day two of the New Farmer U training includes guest speakers and trainers focused on helping farmers to tell their farm story and improve their marketing tools. Topics such as website development and how to build a thriving food and farm business will be covered. Farmer wellness, mental health and legal resources will be shared. Tabling by the Wisconsin Farmers Union complete a full weekend of information on how to make your farm business a full success. Breakfast and lunch are provided. At 10:30 a.m. we will take a mini break to support the farm vendors who host “Sunday Market on the River.” Participants can enjoy fresh coffee, browse food from the Market on the River sellers, and shop for locally made gifts at this unique pop-up!

The programs DOGE is targeting as “wasteful” have always been operating on razor thin margins. They exist because a member of our community identified a serious need, and put in the time and effort into offering tailored resources. This is a labor of love and care that makes our community stronger. We need immediate intervention from Congress, or else it could take decades to rebuild these programs, if we don’t lose these vital resources all together.
