We toasted to the STRONG, SEXY, SMART, SHARP, and UNSTOPPABLE energy of women, forged new powerful connections that are still building, and savored what happens when visionaries, innovators, and connectors share space in real life. But here’s the thing… The IRL is where the spark happens. The challenge after moments like this? Keeping momentum. Remembering names. Following up. Staying connected. Knowing what each other are doing next and up to in the real world. It's not easy. ?? Mass group texts can get overwhelming. ?? Our social DM's are blowing up with sales inquiries or unsolicited outreach that often causes us to miss meaningful communication. ?? Our news gets buried in algorithm controlled social feeds, or is never seen at all. ?? Highly active content creators get rewarded with visibility, others stay in the dark. ?? We forget to stay connected - distracted by endless to do lists. ?? We have no efficient way to follow each other on podcast interviews or panel discussions. ?? Not sure what the next event we'll see each other will be. That powerful conversation? Almost...forgotten. These are the problems we’re solving at Marble Collective: - a platform to help women leaders stay better connected, centralize/automate/amplify their personal brands, and share media & information more efficiently - while serving as role models to the next generation. And yes—we’re already planning next year’s SXSW gathering. When inspiring women gather, remarkable things happen. ? Earlier this month, continuing the spirit of #InternationalWomensMonth at SXSW in Austin, Marble Collective and I - joined forces with Cate Luzio of Luminary to host an intentional and intimate gathering graced by visionary leaders, entrepreneurs, creators, investors, authors, and community builders - all connected by collaborative spirits and our missions. 2025 SXSW Recap. Four unforgettable days, three co-hosted events, and one house shared with six trailblazing women. Our house was more than just a place to stay—it became a vibrant hub of collaboration, curiosity, support, and storytelling. There are a thousand ways to experience SXSW - all igniting in their own ways. This year, instead of jumping between panels and pop-ups, I created gatherings of connection. I hosted the Marble House—an intentional space designed to connect the extraordinary women who joined me. Our house guests were a reflection of the Marble Collective ethos: industry diverse, impact driven, and deeply inspiring. Two venture capitalists launching a $200M fund dedicated to funding underrepresented founders building AI-driven, climate-positive technologies that tackle the world's most pressing challenges in finance, agriculture, and logistics. A legendary media executive and entrepreneur who leads a powerful community of women and underrepresented leaders with collaboration, connection, visibility, and influence at its core. A renowned angel investor and startup advisor who’s empowered underrepresented founders by helping them raise over $27M, equipping them with strategies, advisory, confidence, and essential connections. Two visionary skincare founders who have created a luxurious, natural, climate-resilient beauty line specifically designed for mature women. Their brand is a profound reminder that true beauty emerges from confidence, presence, and authenticity. Each of these women came from different backgrounds, industries, and paths, yet we were united in purpose. It was forged from the sheer will, resilience, and revolutionary spirit of women who refused to accept less. And make no mistake—this month, and the progress it stands for, will only be carried forward by that same unstoppable force: us. It’s International Women’s Day—March 8, 2025! This year, it hits differently, doesn't it? And I’m leaning into it harder. International Women’s Day is celebrated to honor a 1908 protest by women garment workers in New York and was later adopted by socialist movements and the UN to recognize women’s rights and equality worldwide. For me, this day is doubly meaningful—it marks the anniversary of Marble Collective’s BETA launch. Two years ago, I set out to build an AI-powered platform to better connect, amplify, and preserve the legacies of remarkable women leaders. Why women leaders? Because the platforms and influence they’ve worked so hard to build, often against all odds, are the catalysts for the change the world urgently needs as the pendulum swings. If there’s one thing I’ve learned as a female founder bootstrapping a big vision, it’s that community is everything. The power is in the collective. My road has been filled with uncertainty, challenges, and, let’s be real—a lot of persistence. And yet, we’re here. Growing. Gaining momentum. Heading for our official launch this year. We’ve gathered invaluable feedback from our 300 Founding Members and applicants and poured it into a beautiful platform designed to do exactly what we set out to: ? For some reason, people get uncomfortable when I say this: I plan to be extremely successful. The kind of "successful" that is once-in-a-generation. I learned growing up this type of success wasn't the kind of thing that happened to people like me, or the type of thing that women discussed. My dad was a blind stay-at-home dad and my mum was a cashier. Both of them are high school dropouts, and their only wish was for me to graduate high school. People like me don't make it out of their small towns. But I did. I made it all the way to Silicon Valley and built a career in tech, then to Los Angeles as a venture capitalist and entrepreneur. Even more likely? I did most of it as the only woman in the room. And I am just getting started. I plan to dedicate the next phase of my career to teaching everything I know. I want to tell the untold stories. I want to unlock the secrets. I want others to make it big, too. So, for International Women's Day, my request to you is simple: Post something about the most ambitious woman you know. Celebrate her bold ideas and obsession with success. I have spent the last year conducting interviews with our 300 Founding Members, Applicants, Advisors, and Ambassadors at Marble Collective about the communities they belong to, the platforms they use to connect, and the inefficiencies and friction surrounding personal brand, networking, media, and building professional networks. Some consistent insights and themes? ?? Highly curated, intimate, and in-person gatherings and retreats are the most meaningful and rewarding experiences. ?? Private communities offer valuable gatherings, but maintaining connection after the event is not easy. ?? Personal websites are a pain to maintain and often outdated. ?? Personal brand is a disjointed mess. ?? Navigating the landscape of events, private communities, and networks is a grind and can be overwhelming. ?? Finding high-quality content and media is time-consuming and inefficient. Now, we're taking these insights and leaning into them to build a platform and ecosystem to solve some of these problems-for women industry leaders, builders, and trailblazers. We are 2,500+ Founding Members, Advisors, Applicants, Audiences, and subscribers strong and preparing for a launch this year. As we approach the era with the potential to be defined as when "The Great Wealth Transfer" took place - where McKinsey & Company predicts women will control 2/3rds of US wealth by 2030, our timing feels right. Last June we hosted our first Salon dinner at the private residence of two of our Advisors, Robert Reffkin - the first black founder to be on the Fortune 500 List who was raised by a single white Jewish mother and deeply understands what it feels like to be the “only” in the room, and his inspiring wife Benís R. Reffkin - for an unforgettable evening of storytelling and connection, a culinary experience, and a carefully curated table of influential women who have achieved incredible impact.
