In 1999, armed with an Electrical Engineering degree, 14 years of business experience with Hoechst Celanse and a restless entrepreneurial spirit, Francisco Alvarado decided to embark in a new venture and Marand Builders, Inc was established. Since the conception of Marand, our goal has been to understand the individual needs of our customers and provide them with a customized solution. We have built our reputation on reliability, attentiveness and quality of execution. We succeed when we have provided our clients with the best construction experience. We started in Charlotte, NC, but rapidly expanded to cover the Carolinas, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast US regions. We have offices in Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. Our team of highly talented professionals has allowed us to become a preferred vendor with many of our clients, exceeding 95% repeat business. Marand specializes in serving the financial industry, healthcare, commercial retail / offices spaces and the energy industry with ground up and new build projects, interior renovations and more.

Community is at the heart of what we do at Marand Builders! Our Jacksonville team recently partnered with Hart Felt Ministries for a meaningful charity event: building an ADA ramp for Mr. Donnie. We had a great time contributing to this project, and seeing Mr. Donnie's excitement over his new ramp was the highlight of the day. Grateful to be part of moments that make a difference!

On October 31, our Tampa team spent the day volunteering with the Humane Society of Tampa Bay , lending a helping hand to care for some furry friends! Our Marand volunteers dedicated four hours to walking dogs, cleaning cages, and spreading joy with treats. Thank you to our team members who showed their passion for making a difference in our community!

Sharing moments from our recent volunteering event in South Florida with Pro-Org, one of our valued trade partners, at the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. We had the privilege of distributing over 500 goodie bags, along with coffee, water, and Gatorade to the incredible participants. With over 6,000 attendees and the support of major sponsors like Bank of America and Publix, it was a powerful day of unity and hope.

Thank you to all our participants, sponsors, and donors for making this year’s clay shoot fundraiser a success! Each year we continue to grow with your support and generosity. This year the Marand Builders Scholarship Fund is proud to announce that we have funded $1.1 million dollars for scholarships and have supported 190 scholarships since 2017. Also - we exceeded the 2024 goal of $260k with a total of $264k!! Now, it’s time to get to work. As we work with Central Piedmont, CYC, and LAWA, we continue impacting the lives of our students through targeted education. Equipped with STEM and trade knowledge, these students will have the tools to achieve economic upward mobility upon graduation. We are humbled by our community’s support in our mission and are anxious to introduce you to the new and renewing Marand Scholars next year. Looking back on our 4th Annual Scholarship Clay Shoot! We could not have asked for a more perfect day to clay shoot for a great cause. Thank you to our guests and Marand team for helping us beat our 2024 goal of $260,000 for a total of $264,000!
