Thank you to Scott Clark, from Renold Ajax for leading P-TECH WNY students through an Industry Challenge (a real-life challenge faced in advanced manufacturing that students work to solve.) Mr. Clark gave a short lesson on the Lean principle of Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and then challenged students to use this tool to find solutions for reducing the time it takes to manufacture and ship a product. The challenge required brainstorming, ideation, perseverance and the ability to ask the right questions to resolve ambiguity. Students came up with solutions in line with those developed by engineers and seasoned professionals. Well done, P-TECH students! #AMPUpYourFuture #DreamItDoItWNY #AppliedLearning
