The luxury home that cheap wine built can now be yours! A northern California winery where brand Charles Shaw—maker of Trader Joe’s infamous bargain booze “Two Buck Chuck”—got its start has hit the market for $35 million. The almost 43-acre Napa Valley estate encompasses Charles Shaw’s original winery in St. Helena. The residential elements on the property include a six-bedroom main house with views of the surroundings from every room, and a second home modeled after a water tower with one bedroom, an observation area and a wine cellar. A 500-year-old manor house in Oxfordshire, England, that belonged to the Queen of England, Anne of Cleves—one of the lucky few women that survived being married to King Henry VIII—has hit the market for ￡3.75 million (US$4.76 million). Rich in history dating to the Tudor period, Broughton Hall is set in the quaint hamlet of Broughton Poggs, which adjoins the village of Filkins, about a half hour’s drive from Oxford. An array of original features can still be found throughout the historic home, which is loaded with period charm. You've heard of a mountain home, but what about a home that looks like a mountain? A four-bedroom home that blends into its mountain location outside Scottsdale, Arizona, has sold for $6.385 million. Located in the Desert Mountain neighborhood, which is made up of 33 gated communities, the 8,000-square-foot mansion on North 108th Street is surrounded by golf courses. It has a hulking statement pool lined in boulders that channels the desert mountain views, which include the McDowell Mountains and Apache Peak. The architect utilized a desert palette of earth tones and stone to meld the home into its surroundings. The layout of the home showcases the views throughout the main living areas, the primary suite, two studies and the kitchen.
