关于我们
Mannington Mills was founded in Salem, New Jersey in 1915, by John Boston Campbell who came from Scotland and found happiness in the business of making flooring with his two sons, Neil and Kenneth. Still privately held and owned by the Campbell family, Mannington is now one of the world’s leading makers of residential and commercial fine flooring with locations across the U.S. and in the U.K. (under the Amtico brand). And though we’ve evolved and grown throughout the years, our commitment to our craft has never changed. Mannington Mills' family of companies and brands includes Mannington Residential, Mannington Commercial, Amtico, Phenix Flooring, and Burke Flooring, and is home to a vibrant, creative group of thinkers, innovators and go-getters who design and manufacture gorgeous floors with superior performance and durability. Our long-standing company values include “Care” and “Do the Right Thing.” These values play into everything we do when it comes to how we interact with one another, our customers, our families and the communities in which we are located. Perhaps that’s why so many Mannington associates have turned their jobs into careers that have spanned decades. Where you choose to work matters. That’s why we’re dedicated to making Mannington…the company you keep.

At Mannington Mills, we’re grateful for all of our associates, especially those who started as interns and have chosen to make us the company they keep. Like Brian Kuritz, Director of Research and Development. Recently, we asked Brian about his 21-year career. Here’s what he said... ?First job growing up, and what you learned from it? “I was a small-town coffee shop barista.?In addition to making a great cup of coffee, I learned about formulas, processes, and the importance of interacting with people.” ?How did you learn about our internship program? “When I was a Rowan University student, Mannington came to campus for chemical engineering internship interviews. Previous students had interned at the company and arranged a tour for those of us in the AIChE Student Engineering Club. When I visited the lab and vinyl plant I was so impressed that I immediately signed up for an interview.” ?About your internship and biggest takeaway? “I had two summer internships, and returned to Mannington to work during winter and spring breaks. I learned how to design a user interface for data collection and recording processing readings (yes, that’s a mouth full!), how to optimize process conditions, make flooring samples in the lab, and conduct physical property tests. My takeaway? There’s nothing like getting hands-on experience to reinforce book knowledge.” ?First job at Mannington, and your career progression? “After grad school, Mannington hired me as a Senior Process Engineer for the cushion vinyl plant.?Several years later, I was promoted to Process Engineering Manager, overseeing the cushion vinyl plant and eventually the entire Salem site. Next, I transitioned to Product Development Manager for sheet vinyl products. Then, I was promoted to the job I have today.” ?What do you like most about your job? “Leading the R&D team is incredibly fulfilling because product development is both exciting and often unpredictable. I like always being on the lookout for revolutionary advancements that can transform our industry.” Brian, we’re very glad you’ve made Mannington Mills the company you keep. Your story illustrates how an internship can turn into a rewarding career. #Flooring?#GreatAssociates?#CompanyYoukeep
