Another successful year of packing beans and rice at Congregation Beth Or in Maple Glen as part of their event called Matanot L'evyonim: Purim Packing Project. Approximately 100 people of all ages, including Rabbi Jason Bonder, packed rice and beans in household-sized bags for Manna’s Market, providing over 2,500 pounds of food for our neighbors who shop in our Market. We are grateful for this annual tradition, and for the entire Beth Or community for purchasing and packing these bags for Manna and those we serve!

We have some tough news: Giving to Manna in Quarter 1 of this fiscal year has left a fundraising gap of about $57,000 compared to last year. This drop in monetary contributions coincides with a continued rise in demand for food from Manna. Can you give today to help us close the gap? https://lnkd.in/errSm4XX Times are tough for many of us right now. It’s especially difficult for our neighbors who rely on Manna for food and other critical services. Manna's Kitchen is serving 25% more meals than one year ago. In fact, we've broken our record for monthly meals served twice in the past five months. Most days we provide 400-500 meals to people in need. That doesn't even include the additional 700 meals per day we prepare for Meals on Wheels serving local seniors. Meanwhile, Manna's Market recently set a new record for the number of households served in a month at 906 households. That's an 11% in households served from one year ago. A key component of this increase is Manna's Online Market Hub ("the Hub"), which opened in September. We're currently serving about 100 more households than we were a year ago with online orders of groceries because of the expanded capacity that the Hub provides. We're well on our way to setting new annual records — for the third year in a row — for meals served in Manna's Kitchen and households served in Manna's Market. We need your help to ensure Manna continues meeting the critical needs of our neighbors in the North Penn region, and so we don't have to scale back our plans for program improvements and expansion in 2025. Give to Manna today to ensure our neighbors facing hunger have enough to eat and receive the services and support they need to not just survive but to thrive. Thank you for caring. https://lnkd.in/errSm4XX #EndHunger #NorthPenn #Community

Manna’ Common Grounds team has done a little redecorating in their office suite and couldn’t be happier with the results! We love seeing all of our trainees have space to sit down to enjoy lunch together and talk about their mornings in kitchen production and the café. By enrolling our trainees in cohorts rather than individually, the relationships they form with their colleagues, and the support they provide each other, become important parts of their training. We are currently accepting applications for our next cohort of our Common Grounds Training Program, which starts Monday, March 17. Call or text Sue to apply:?215-353-3727. #CatalystKitchens #WorkforceDevelopment #FoodService
