On the heels of my graduation from the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Program, I’m proud to be kicking off my next incredible opportunity as a member of the 7th cohort of the Goldman Sachs’ One Million Black Women: Black in Business Program!
My participation in this multi-year, $1Billion initiative feels particularly meaningful at this time— not only because, like the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Program, which had the funding support of Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs is putting its money where it’s mouth is in terms of the support its helping provide Black women in meeting their entrepreneurial goals, on behalf of themselves but moreover their families.
I’m awed by the success stories that have emerged from this program over the years and am grateful to Mable Ivory for sharing her experience with the program, which inspired me to apply. That said, I look forward to hopefully being able to pay it forward as Goldman Sachs makes good on its follow-through to support members of the 8th cohort, once I complete what I’ve already been warned will be a very rigorous program. Bring it on!
And as for Nasdaq, I’m beyond excited to celebrate with my fellow entrepreneurial sisters and graduates in March when we are featured on the Nasdaq Jumbotron in Times Square!
