When MANICA acquired a pre-World War II historic warehouse building, we were proud to be part of the redevelopment taking place in the Kansas City "Start-Up Village" near the Google Fiber Space building. For 40 years, the 8,400 square foot building was used as a private warehouse space, and because of that it required considerable demolition and cleanup prior to renovations. The renovated main design studio offers 5,000 square feet of open space set off with a wood barrel-vault ceiling and steel bow-string trusses. The addition of 10 skylights and new window systems fills the space with natural daylight. The building also includes three additional studio spaces for the company's future expansion and supporting functions, such as IT, private conferences, and fitness. Our compound is complete with designated employee parking and a private outdoor garden with a swimming pool, a spa, two firepits, a lounge area, an outdoor kitchen, and a fish pond. #MANICAarchitecture #architecture #kansascity
