The New York County District Attorney’s Office serves and protects the People of New York through the fair administration of justice, without fear or favor. In 2016, the District Attorney's Office handled approximately 80,000 cases, with a staff of more than 500 assistant district attorneys and 870 investigative analysts, paralegals, and other highly trained support staff members.
