关于我们
Founded in West Oakland, Mandela Partners uses food to empower communities of color and communities of limited means to build health, wealth, well-being, and opportunities in their own neighborhoods. We hold various business development and food access programming that hones in on different touch-points of the system. By working in partnership with local residents, family farmers, and small businesses in limited-resourced communities – we hope to empower, develop, and provide the resources and tools needed for them to thrive.

friends and family bar is an award-winning establishment focused on providing a beautiful beverage program, by founder Blake Sondell-Cole, and delicious food by their James Beard award-nominated chef, Gaby Maeda, in a safe and undeniably stunning space. Their partnership with our Culinary Employment Pathways program is just one way they have become an essential part of our community. In the Culinary Education Pathways, we prioritize leading with empathy, compassion, and kindness. We recognize that people may be dealing with life situations outside of the kitchen and strive to create a space alongside community-minded business partners that allows our participants to explore their curiosity and build their skills in an internship that will prepare them for employment in a professional kitchen. If you’re a food business in the East Bay, sign up to host an intern! Let's continue to uplift and empower each other. ??????? https://lnkd.in/g6TJzpUy
