Introducing Manaflow's agent builder: a simple way to program AI agents by creating custom tools, scheduling executions of workflows, and integrating with third-party apps, all with an intuitive natural language + Notion-like interface. Manaflow (YC S24) allows researchers to collaborate in real-time with an AI data scientist, asking questions and guiding prompts in English. For recurring tasks involving data and connecting third party apps, Manaflow helps with decision-support, posting insights from the data to live Slack channels or sending emails to stakeholders. I'm truly honored to be featured on Business Insider and share my insights about the current state of recruiting cycles in tech, consulting, and finance. The job market was not favorable this year for both new graduates and college students. Anecdotally, through leading both the Yale Undergraduate Consulting Group and YHack this year, I was exposed to this first-hand as I watched my fellow peers and teammates apply to hundreds of jobs in tech and consulting, sometimes without receiving a single callback. I think that this shows a fundamental shift, highlighting the growing need for new graduates and college students in our generation to pivot their focus towards more diverse roles, taking an interdisciplinary approach by applying their skills to uncommon industries and fields. Some of these more unconventional examples could be building software for construction companies, managing the finances of research labs, or consulting for the space robotics industry. Finding cross-industrial connections where you can apply your skills and knowledge into a specific niche is going to be more valuable than ever. Another avenue that this cross-industrial creativity and niche differentiation enables is entrepreneurship, albeit a more risky option. Starting a business allows us, especially in the younger generations, to take control of our career trajectories early, create market opportunities where none may exist today, and drive our passions into tangible outcomes to effectuate positive change in our world. This is one of many reasons why I ultimately opted for the entrepreneurship route. The world is changing so rapidly, and I believe that there is no better time to start a startup business than now, given the boom of new technologies which has prompted parallels to the decades-past internet boom. It's time for the younger generation to take the non-traditional routes because that is how we can leverage our creativity in the advent of generative AI. Now, I'm building Manaflow in Y Combinator's S24 batch, which helps non-technical teams automate technical business workflows. Using English, you can train Manaflow agents to conduct dynamic user interviews, analyze transcripts for granular insights, deploy persistent dashboards, and execute the right strategy for your business customers. We help small businesses, non-profits, and global enterprises find key data insights and execute business actions to solve customer pain points. In a nutshell, the changing job market underscores the importance of flexible, unorthodox, and interdisciplinary approaches for new graduates and college students. By embracing unconventional roles and entrepreneurial ventures, we can harness our creativity and technical skills to drive meaningful change and capture opportunities in the present.
