MANA de Imperial Valley recently returned from celebrating the 50th Anniversary of MANA National, and we couldn’t be prouder of the work our non-profit continues to do in the Imperial Valley. It was a great opportunity to connect with chapters from across the country and learn more about MANA’s rich history and impactful legacy. #mana50 #mananational #imperialvalley

Today we would like to bring awareness on Latina Equal Pay Day;?Latinas are paid only 57 cents for every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic men. This means that Latinas must work nearly 22 months to earn what their counterparts earn in 12. Latinas?are one of the fastest growing most powerful groups in the United States.?Latinas excel in every industry, despite this we continue to face a pay gap. This is why we must continue to speak out and raise awareness. #LatinaEqualPayDay #LatinasInLeadership #PayEquity #EqualPayForAll #pagame

Wow! Another Scholarship Ceremony in the books! ?? This past weekend we had the honor of awarding 31 scholarships to local students. Since 2008 MANA de Imperial Valley has awarded over 250K in local scholarships. This is a huge thanks to our sponsors, MANA de IV membership, and our community as a whole. We’d like to recognize some individuals who made this event extra special. First off thank you @decorazon_creationsbymg for making our event look beautiful! Also, thank you to Martha Singh and Belen Granados for their hard work in making this event happen. We’d also like to give a special thank you to our keynote speaker Miranda Montenegro. You captivated the audience with your authenticity and spoke with such passion that left everyone in awe. The Imperial Valley is very proud of you. Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us. Lastly, thank you to the parents. Your support means the most to us. Congratulations to the class of 2024! ??We can’t wait to hear about all the magnificent work you’ll do. How does MANA raise funds for scholarships? Once a year MANA de IV organizations a scholarship fundraiser called Las Primeras Awards and Scholarship Fundraiser. The proceeds go towards funding scholarships for local student. The best way to contribute to our fund is to attend. Come and see what fuels our scholarships and be a part of the experience. ????
