Thank you LSI for shining the spotlight on the powerful approach we’re developing to solve the need for effective #breastcancerscreening in women with #densebreasts with a stand-alone, front-line imaging device. Our technology is as safe as Mammography with NO painful breast compression required. Our technology is far more powerful than Ultrasound – achieving 10x greater resolution of all breast tissue types and cancer-indicative features. Our technology is faster, quieter, and delivers a?higher level of imaging detail than MRI. Nearly 50% of women in the U.S. and more than 60% in Asia have #densebreasts. Every #breastimaging technology available today is limited, making it necessary for these women to undergo repeated rounds of often uncomfortable imaging with different types of devices to determine if #breastcancer exists. This is a costly, exhausting, and oftentimes stressful process. These women deserve access to a single, safe, comfortable and effective imaging solution. We are working to deliver just that.

What a fantastic and insightful week it has been at #RSNA2024! Our team has been learning a great deal from all of the #radiologist rockstars present and the many scientific talks focused on needs, solutions, and hopeful paths forward in detecting and diagnosing #breastcancer.

Developing a game-changing #densebreastimaging device involves a lot of tough technical work, but the revelation of hidden inner structures is always a treat! The American Cancer Society recently reported a significant rise in breast cancer rates among younger women, particularly Asian American women under 50. This underscores the urgent need for improved early detection, especially in dense breast tissue. We are addressing this critical issue with MALCOVA's Breast Monarc technology, which is specifically designed to enhance early cancer detection and outcomes for this underserved group of patients.

We’re excited to announce that we’ve received an NIH SBIR Phase II clinical trial grant to advance our stand-alone breast cancer imaging solution using MALCOVA's Narrow-Beam CT technology. This innovation enables effective cancer detection in dense breast women, eliminating the need for compression, and directly addressing the inherent limitation of the current gold-standard breast imaging modality. This study is a collaboration with Yale University Radiology (Dr. John Lewin's group) and Stanford University Radiology (Dr. Adam Wang's research laboratory). #BreastCancerAwareness #MedicalInnovation #NIH

In the Spring of 2023, following more than a decade of effort from advocacy groups, the FDA announced that all women obtaining breast imaging with Mammography in the U.S. should be informed of their #breastdensity. Yesterday, September 10th, this mandate went into full effect. Since our founding, #MALCOVA has been dedicated to developing a comfortable, safe, and effective #breastcancerimaging technology for the nearly 50% of women who have #densebreasts . Increased awareness among women is a major step forward.
