Bzzzzz… Nespresso’s Golden Bees in MJF ?? Nespresso sought to develop a visually striking installation featuring hundreds of golden bees. To achieve the required level of detail and production efficiency, we utilized?Multi Jet Fusion (MJF)?technology, known for its high-resolution output, durability, and scalability. Each bee was produced with precise geometries and fine surface details, ensuring consistency across the full production run. Post-processing included a gold-painted finish, enhancing the aesthetic impact of the installation while maintaining structural integrity. This project exemplifies how advanced additive manufacturing supports high-volume, detail-oriented fabrication for large-scale brand activations and installations. Why architects are turning to 3D printing: for decades, physical models have been essential to architectural design: for concept development, client presentations, or technical validation. But traditional fabrication methods can be slow, costly, and restrictive. That’s where 3D printing comes in. Architects are now using it to: ? Speed Up Iterations – Print models in hours instead of weeks, allowing for rapid design refinements. ? Increase Precision – Digital-to-physical accuracy eliminates manual inconsistencies. ? Reduce Waste & Cost – Only print what’s needed, avoiding excess material and expensive outsourcing. ? Expand Design Possibilities – Create complex geometries that CNC or foam cutting can’t achieve.
