Make-A-Wish Oklahoma creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We seek to bring every eligible child's wish to life because a wish is an integral part of a child's treatment journey. Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight their illness. Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, Make-A-Wish is the world’s leading children’s wish-granting organization, serving children in every community in the United States and in more than 50 countries worldwide. Together, generous donors, supporters, staff and more than 35,000 volunteers across the U.S., grant a wish every 34 minutes, on average, somewhere in the country. Get ready to be inspired by Malayna Hasmanis, a true gem in the Tulsa area! ?? Malayna’s dedication as a volunteer is nothing short of extraordinary. She shines on our Young Professionals Committee, brings energy to every event, and works magic as a wish granter. Recently, she even embarked on a special journey to Kansas to help our North Texas chapter grant a rush wish—talk about commitment! But that’s not all. Malayna spearheaded our very first Wish Workshop, training volunteers to create unforgettable experiences for wish kids who are non-verbal. Her passion and joy are contagious; if you’ve met her, you know she leaves everyone with a smile. Make-A-Wish Oklahoma is beyond thrilled to have Malayna on our team. Emily’s wish is #GRANTED! ?? 15-year-old Emily has been a life-long fan of OSU athletics and knew her one-true wish was to meet Coach Mike Gundy and the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Last weekend Emily’s wish came true which included a full game-day experience! We want to extend a HUGE thank you to our partners at Oklahoma State University Athletics & Bluepeak for supporting wishes like Emily’s and believing in the power of a wish! ??

Last night our team got to celebrate President & CEO Deborah McAuliffe Senner as she accepted the Stanley Draper Award for her efforts in community excellence. For many years Deborah served with Allied Arts OKC to improve funding and recognition for the arts in Oklahoma City, all while making the arts accessible to everyone. Today, Deborah inspires us in her effort to grant the wish of every eligible child in Oklahoma. Congratulations Deborah on a much deserved recognition of everything you do for others! ????
