11-year-old Alivia from Temecula has been dancing since she was a toddler, finding pure joy in moving to music and competing with her teammates. But when she was diagnosed with lymphoma, she had to step away from the stage and endure six long months of chemotherapy. Through it all, Alivia held onto her dream: to one day dance with the BYU Cougarettes. ?? "I've been wanting to be a Cougarette since I was little," she said. Earlier this month, her wish came true! Not only did she meet the BYU Cougarettes, but she also practiced with them and performed in front of thousands—alongside Cosmo Cougar at a BYU Basketball game! ?? "It definitely brought tears to my eyes," her mom, Steffani, shared. "A year ago, we were watching her dance thinking it would be her last time." This wish gave Alivia back the joy she had missed during her battle with lymphoma.
