Building our relationship with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey & NMDP! A day spent with THRIVE, an Affinity group of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey,?in Newark earlier this fall was absolutely invigorating.? We are partnered together to help transform healthcare through innovation, value and education.? We are building foundations to leave a lasting imprint in the communities we live, work and play in.? Paying it forward takes a new meaning when we teach, watch and learn from the next generation on their vision of community, leadership and giving back.? This fall, our youth-led team of 31 individuals banded together to create their own movement.? Each member, uniquely created and shared how “Stories of Hope” have inspired them to raise money for cancer patients to help them find the life-changing care they need. Ranging in age from 4 to 17, our youth members raised over $12,500, surpassing their first and second goal, with events in their communities, bake sales, lemonade stands, teaching about MMSF and sharing their personal stories.? Weeks of hard work, brainstorming, planning and encouraging each other really helped fuel this team beyond their own expectation (and ours!)? We are so proud to share this unwrapped of our future changemakers! Funds will be donated to Make Me Stronger Foundation’s Stories of Hope grant to provide blood cancer patients a chance at a cure and more time with their loved ones. The sparkling lights of Diwali shined far and bright as many dancers took the stage at the “The Most Magical Place on Earth”. We would like to thank Jashn Productions, Diwali Dance Fest, and personally Jeanie Beri, for donating the proceeds from this unbelievable event to the Make Me Stronger Foundation. Your partnership and commitment to serving your community in a ‘magical’ way will continue to leave a lasting imprint for years to come.
