The Westview High School Wildcats are making magic happen! ? They’ve been rallying around Wish Kid Katia all year and celebrated her in a big way at this assembly last month- where Katia’s mom announced Katia is now cancer free! ?? Big thanks to Westview students and staff for their steadfast support of wish kids like Katia, raising more than $7,500 and counting for wishes just this school year alone!

We are celebrating our medical partners who start the process of many of our wishes! ?? March is Social Work & Child Life Month and those dedicated teams help refer children like Connor. Connor says his wish experience was like a light at the end of a dark tunnel. “My mom says seeing me run around LEGOLAND, carefree and out of the hospital, “was EVERYTHING.” Thank you to our medical teams for all you do for wish kids! ?? “Arianna felt seen!” Arianna’s family says her wish was a gift. The local teen has experienced so many hospitalizations, doctors appointments and procedures. Her wish to visit Walt Disney World gave her family an opportunity to experience fun, happiness and feel extra special. “We can't thank each and every one of you enough for the special treatment you gave to Arianna and our whole family. Thank you for making this trip possible. You went above and beyond and we will forever hold this memory in our hearts.” Arianna’s family says they’ll also never forget the incredible hospitality from our partners at Alaska Airlines, Give Kids The World Village, and their Make-A-Wish wish granting team. Thank you to all who make joy like this a reality!

WISH GRANTED! ???? Eli just had the adventure of a lifetime! He made the journey from Oregon to Australia with his family where he visited the zoo founded by his ultimate role model, Steve Irwin. “Eli has grown more confident and decisive because of his wish. It has helped him come out of his shell and really gave him a chance to make big decisions for himself and his family,” said Eli’s mom Sierra. ?? “It has truly been a life-changing experience for Eli!” The wish also gave Eli’s family an opportunity to grow together and deepened his bond with his brothers. “Words cannot explain what this trip has meant to us as a family. It gave us moments of pure joy and connection without any outside interruptions,” said Sierra. “This trip has helped me develop a deeper perspective on life and for that I'm so grateful.” ?? #WishGranted #MakeAWish #MakeAWishOregon #ORWish

This #WorldKidneyDay, we want to celebrate kids like Jacklynn - a spunky, cheerful and sweet girl who knows the true power of a wish. ?? Her family adventure to Orlando allowed her family to find joy during an incredibly tough battle with kidney disease. She said she’ll never forget the playground at Give Kids The World Village. When it felt like they had no escape from the medical nightmare they were in, Jacklynn’s dad Michael says it allowed her to have an absolutely magical experience. ? Nearly one year following her wish, Jacklynn got incredible news while dealing with kidney disease brought on by rare autoimmune diseases igG4-RD and ANCA-Vasculitis. She received a kidney transplant just before the end of the year. ???? Jacklynn is celebrating her 7th birthday this week and is excited for the year ahead now that she’s recovered from her transplant. She can’t wait to go back to school and get back into activities like ballet and gymnastics. ??
